It is the policy of the Titusville Police Department to patrol in a proactive manner, to aggressively investigate suspicious persons and circumstances, solve problems through the community policing philosophy, and to actively enforce the laws of the State of Florida and ordinances of the City of Titusville, while insisting citizens will only be stopped or detained when there exists reasonable suspicion to believe they have committed, are committing, or are about to commit, an infraction of the law. Persons having contact with members of this agency shall be treated in a fair, impartial, equitable, and objective manner, in accordance with law and without consideration of their individual demographics. Biased policing in traffic contacts, field contacts, searches and seizures and in asset seizures and forfeiture efforts, or in any other manner is strictly prohibited.
