Titusville Police have arrested a man suspected in the burglaries and attempted burglaries of four Asian restaurants located throughout the city of Titusville.
Troy Christopher Taylor, 49, of Titusville, a felon with prior burglary convictions, was arrested and charged with two Counts of Burglary, two Counts of Attempted Burglary and four Counts of Violation of Probation.
The preliminary investigation revealed during the early morning hours of Thursday, September 3, 2020, the suspect entered two separate restaurants, one located on Knox McRae Drive, and the other located on Harrison Street, broke the front door glass, entered the businesses and stole the register drawers containing cash.
In addition, the suspect attempted to burglarize a restaurant on Cheney Highway that same morning, and another restaurant located on Columbia Boulevard early Friday morning.
Investigative evidence led to the identity of the suspect, who was arrested at his residence without incident on Friday, September 4, 2020, at approximately 10 AM.
Following the suspect’s arrest, a search warrant was conducted at his residence, and detectives recovered apparel that matched the suspect’s clothing in the recent burglary surveillance footage, burglary tools and a cash register drawer belonging to one of the burglarized restaurants.
Taylor booked into the Brevard County Jail and is being held without bond.
