A man has been charged in connection with the May 22, 2011, early morning murder of Anquanette Skanes and Lapriet Jordan.
Larry A. Lee, 51, of Mims, is charged with 2nd Degree Murder with Firearm (Life Felony) and 2nd Degree Murder with Weapon (Life Felony).
The preliminary investigation revealed the suspect shot Skanes and stabbed Jordan, ultimately resulting in their deaths at a River Breeze apartment home.
Advancements in forensic analysis of evidence, along with a long-term commitment and an extensive investigation by numerous detectives over the past 10 years, confirmed the suspect’s involvement in the crimes.
Titusville Police Detectives issued a warrant for Lee’s arrest on April 19, 2022.
Lee, a convicted felon, has been incarcerated in the Federal prison system since 2014.
Lee was taken into custody by the U.S. Marshal service and is currently in custody at the Seminole County Jail
Lee will be transferred to the Brevard County Jail without bond.
“A decade long investigation has afforded our department the opportunity to provide justice for these two victims and their families, who still suffer the consequences of this heinous crime”, said Criminal Investigations Sergeant Tim Werring. “We never gave up on our pursuit for justice in this case”, added Werring.
