The Selection Evaluation Process

  • Innovative Impact – Does the nominee’s effort stand out as a unique approach compared to other submissions?
  • Exemplary Leadership – If a common action is repeated among nominees (e.g., biking as a primary mode of commuting), does this individual or organization lead the way by exceeding expectations in that category or make a greater overall impact across multiple categories and for the community overall?
  • Community Endorsement – Has the nominee received multiple nominations, demonstrating strong community support and recognition?

If there are more qualified nominations than there are seats available at the luncheon the remaining qualified nominees will still be featured on the City's official website.
