Water service can be turned on for 2 weeks for a $15 fee. If you need the water on for longer than the 2 week courtesy, a full deposit is required. Please allow 1 to 2 business days for processing. Please make sure all faucets are off before the City turns your water service on. The City is not liable for damages caused by faucets or outlets turned on.

I am requesting the water to be turned on/off as of the date requested.I understand that when the water is on/off at the property, that I will receive a combined water/sewer/refuse fixed monthly bill each month until the property is sold or rented per City of Titusville Ordinance:

All owners and/or tenants, agents, lessors, lessees, operators of residential units, multi-dwelling units and commercial units, occupied or unoccupied, operating and non-operating, shall subscribe to and pay for the availability of water/sewer service in the form of a fixed monthly charge. I understand that if the property becomes vacant that I am to notify the City of Titusville Customer Service Division 3 days prior to tenant moving out of property.

When a change of occupancy takes place on any premises supplied by the city with water and wastewater service, written notice thereof shall be given at the office of the city not less than 3 days prior to the date of change by the outgoing customer. The outgoing customer shall be held responsible for all water and wastewater service rendered on such premises until such written notice is so received by the city and the city has had reasonable time to discontinue the water and wastewater service. However, if such written notice has been received, the application of such a succeeding occupant for water and wastewater service will automatically terminate the prior account. The customer's deposit may be transferred from one service location to another, if both locations are supplied water and wastewater service by the city. The customer's deposit may be transferred from one name to another as long as the customer makes a written request.

When I request the water to be turned on, I will need to pay a $15 administrative fee and/or deposit per City of Titusville Ordinance:

Each new customer, transfer or reconnection shall pay an administrative charge of $15 per customer for the turn-on plus applicable meter deposit based on the tiered rates as set forth in subsection 21-243 (b).

If my account goes unpaid, a lien will be placed on the property, per City of Titusville Ordinance:

Any unpaid utility bill shall constitute a lien against the property, which lien shall be prior to all other liens on such property except the liens of state, county and municipal taxes and shall be on parity with the lien of such state, county and municipal taxes. Such lien, when delinquent for more than 30 days, may be foreclosed by the city in the manner provided by the laws of the State of Florida for the foreclosure of on real property. The attorney's fees and costs of foreclosure shall be taxable.
