Armed Robbery Suspect Arrested

Titusville Police arrested a man in connection with the armed robbery of an adult female at a local hotel. 

Steven Levon Fields, 28, a convicted felon from St. Petersburg, Florida, was charged with Robbery with a Firearm, Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, 2 counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance, and Theft.                                                                                                             

On October 23, 2020, at approximately 3:30 AM, officers responded to a report of an armed robbery at the Quality Inn Hotel located at 3655 Cheney Highway. 

The preliminary investigation revealed the suspect encountered the victim in a hotel room and demanded money at gunpoint. The victim complied and fled the scene.

The victim was not injured.

At approximately 5:30 AM, officers approached the suspect as he was exiting the hotel room. He was then positively identified and taken into custody without incident. 

A search of the suspect revealed he was in possession of narcotics, a firearm and the alleged stolen money.

Fields was booked into the Brevard County Jail without bond.
