A local woman was struck and killed by a vehicle at approximately 7:30 PM on Wednesday, February 23, 2022, near 4200 South Washington Avenue (US #1).
The preliminary investigation revealed the victim, Suzanne Kay Forbis, 69, of Titusville, was crossing US #1 when she was struck by a black 2011 GMC Sierra truck driven by 24-year-old Amanda Mae Burke.
Forbis was transported to a local hospital with life threatening injuries.
Forbis subsequently succumb to her injuries and was pronounced deceased at approximately 1:40 AM on Thursday, February 24, 2022.
There were no other injuries.
This traffic crash remains under investigation by the Titusville Police Department and further details will be released upon its conclusion.
