Please join us in congratulating Titusville Police Officer Darius Wilder for being awarded September Citywide Employee of the Month at a recent City Council Special Recognitions meeting.
Officer Wilder, a 2 ½ year veteran of the department, has received this prestigious recognition because of his intuitive response to a reported kidnapping incident of a juvenile.
Officer Wilder located the juvenile within a short time of the report. It was later revealed Officer Wilder responded and found the juvenile quickly because of his proactive efforts of creating a pathway of accessibility and community relationships by continuously reaching out to local businesses.
With that said, a local business member contacted Officer Wilder about the missing juvenile via a business and employee chat group he founded. This fostered community connection enabled Officer Wilder to promptly bring the juvenile home safely.
This recognition is a public acknowledgment of Officer Darius Wilder’s self-directed outreach initiative and unsurpassed commitment to the safety of our Titusville community.
