Precautionary Boil Water Notice

City of Titusville - Home Posted on February 04, 2026

Precautionary boil water notice

A precautionary boil water notice was been issued for the following 12 address in the City of Titusville: 2, 5, 10, 400, 414, 459 & 490 Garden St., and 18, 20, 22, 26 & 425 Lemon Ave.

At approximately 9:00 PM on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, the water main that serves the addresses listed above was shut off to make repairs to a broken water main on Washington Ave. The main has been returned to service and this notice is issued as a precautionary measure only.

Therefore, as a precaution, we advise that all water used for drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth, or washing dishes be boiled. A rolling boil for one minute is sufficient. Allow water to cool down before drinking. As an alternative bottled water may be used.

Your water is safe for bathing, laundering, and other non-consumptive uses.

This Precautionary Boil Water Notice will remain in effect until a bacteriological survey confirms that the water is safe to drink. Notices will be issued to all residences when the Precautionary Boil Water Notice has been rescinded. This Notice is anticipated to be rescinded by Friday, February 6, 2026. However, all water for consumption should continue to be boiled until rescinding notices are received.

If you have any questions about this notice, please contact the Public Works Field Operations Division at 321-567-3883. After 4 p.m., please contact the Water Production Division at 321-383-5657.
