The driver of a motorcycle died after colliding with a tractor-trailer at 1:30 a.m. on Thursday May 15th, 2025, on U.S. #1 at LaGrange Rd.
The preliminary investigation, based on witness accounts, physical evidence, and video from the truck involved, revealed a 2000 Harley-Davidson, being operated eastbound on La Grange Road by John Eric Love, 49, of Liberty Tree Rd. Titusville, ran the stop sign at S. Washington Ave (U.S.#1), and was struck by a 2023 Freightliner Tractor Trailor, being driven by Robert Lee Lewis Jr. of Mims, Florida.
Love was pronounced deceased at the scene. Investigators believe alcohol was a factor in the crash.
The driver of the Tractor Trailer will not face any charges in this incident.
