Monday, August 05, 2019

Titusville Police, conducting a stake-out where recent burglaries of local business were committed, have made four arrests.

Shane Tyler Townsend, 24, of Mims, Damon Sentrel Owens, 31, of Mims, Terrill Leon Williams, 27, of Mims and Jabraisa Alexis Crankfield, 24, of Orlando, were arrested and charged with Loitering and Prowling.

Around midnight on Sunday August 4th 2019, an officer conducting covert surveillance on the 1400 block of Chaffee Drive, encountered two vehicles traveling with the headlights out.

A short time later, officers conducted separate traffic stops on both vehicles that initially fled the area when spotted by police. Officers searched one of the suspect’s vehicles and found a power saw.

Townsend, Owens, Williams and Crankfield were booked into the Brevard County Jail.

The August 2nd 2019 burglaries, prompting the stakeout occurring at businesses at 1417 Chaffee Drive where locks were sawed off in order to gain access to the business, remain active and ongoing.
