Friday, February 01, 2019

Titusville Police Officers have arrested a student for making a hoax bomb threat to a local high school.
Mary Adele Gaudi, 15, of Titusville, was arrested on Thursday January 31st 2019, and charged with False Report of Planting a Bomb, a second-degree felony.
On Wednesday, January 30th 2019, Titusville Police were contacted by CrimeLine’s “SpeakOut” anonymous hotline in reference to a threat of serious mass destruction via bomb, which was to occur at Titusville High School on February 4th 2019.
The preliminary investigation revealed that the threat was unfounded. Detectives used evidentiary information leading to the identity and subsequent arrest of the suspect.
Mary Adele Gaudi was booked into the Brevard County Juvenile Detention Center.
“The safety of our children is our number one priority and this resource is meant to keep students safe, not to make students scared, said Titusville Police Lieutenant Tyler Wright. “These types of hoax threats will not be tolerated and people who make them will be held accountable”, added Wright.
