Police Searching for Hit and Run Suspect

Titusville Police are searching for a hit and run suspect after responding to a report of a traffic crash with injuries involving a bicyclist and a vehicle.
The preliminary investigation has revealed that on Wednesday, September 12th 2018, at approximately 3:45 PM, an adult female bicyclist, traveling southbound on Hopkins Avenue, was struck by a vehicle that was turning into the entrance of the Cumberland Farms convenience store located at 3505 South Hopkins Avenue.
The driver of the vehicle stopped, exited the vehicle, approached the injured bicyclist, but quickly got back into the vehicle and fled the scene heading westbound on Country Club Drive then northbound on South Hopkins Avenue.
Witnesses have described the suspect as a white male, thin build with a goatee, between 20 and 30 years of age and driving a newer model blue car with a white or beige soft top.
The victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life threating injuries.
This is remains an ongoing traffic crash investigation.
