DEPARTMENT ORGANIZATION and PURPOSE
Separated into two distinct divisions of Operations and Administration, the purpose of the department is to:
Prevent loss of lives and property damage by fire, hazardous substance releases, and natural and manmade emergencies; and
Provide equipped and trained first response advanced life support for our citizens; provide annual inspections of all commercial occupancies to identify and correct fire and hazard safety violations in protection of both the property owner and members of our community; and
Provide, within the limitations of department resources, public education/information classes, lectures, and demonstrations regarding potential health and property hazards
