The health and safety of our citizens and Staff is the City’s top priority. All City facilities remain closed to the general public. City employees are working to serve our community like always. Staff continues to provide essential services to citizens through the preferred use of technology and telephones. Public Safety, Public Works, and Water Resources departments continue essential services with minimum disruptions.

Florida Dept of Health is now offering free tests only for Priority 2: patients in long-term care with symptoms, those 65 or older with symptoms, those with underlying conditions and symptoms, and first responders with symptoms.
Brevard County Libraries have provided unemployment applications and tax forms outside every library 24 hours a day. In addition, the Cathy Schweinsberg Rood Central Library, the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Library, the Franklin T. DeGroodt Library, the Melbourne Beach Library, the Melbourne Library, the Mims/Scottsmoor Library, the Port St. John Library, the South Mainland Library, the Suntree/Viera Library, the Titusville Library, and the West Melbourne Library all have a table of free books available outside the library from 9 AM to 4:45 PM Monday through Friday.
Florida Department of Children and Families: announced Tallahassee will pilot a program for Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) recipients to purchase groceries online with the use of an EBT card this week, and it will go statewide April 21. SNAP participants are automatically eligible to participate in this program and do not need to apply.
