City of Titusville COVID-19 Update/SITREP as of 27-Mar-20 / 1400
Good Afternoon Mayor, Vice Mayor, Council Members, and Team Members,
All City facilities remain closed to the general public. Staff continues to provide essential services to citizens through the preferred use of technology and telephones. Public Safety, Public Works, and Water Resources departments continue services with minimum disruptions. Our City Emergency Management team continues close coordination with our Brevard County Emergency Management partners.
Attached is the beach closure order that was approved by the Brevard County Policy Group yesterday. The Board of County Commissioners met this morning (27 Mar) and voted 4-1 to not enforce the measure. Commission Chair Lober offered to take this item back to the Policy Group, which will be meeting again today at 3 p.m.
The City will begin complying with the Families First Coronavirus Response Act (FFCRA) on April 1st (see attached poster). Staff is in the process of preparing personnel policy amendments in order to comply with this U.S. Department of Labor act.
Our next update is scheduled for Monday 30 Mar / 1400 if not sooner as information becomes available.
