City of Titusville COVID-19 Update/SITREP as of 26-Mar-20 / 1000
City facilities remain closed to the general public. Staff continues to provide essential services to citizens through the preferred use of technology and telephones. Public Safety (Police, Fire and Emergency Services), Public Works (solid waste pick-up) and Water Resources departments continue services with minimum disruptions.
The State of Florida issued Executive Order 20-83 (see attached) regarding a public health advisory urging all persons over 65 years of age and persons that have a serious underlying medical conditions that places them at high risk of severe illness from COVID-19 to stay home and take such other measures as necessary to limit their risk of exposure to COVID-19. Additionally the order urges those that can work remotely to do so.
The Department of Children and Families will waive work requirements for individuals participating in the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program and Temporary Assistance Program.
