The City of Titusville is proud to be recognized as Florida's second Trail Town. The Florida Greenways and Trails Council voted unanimously on June 27, 2018 to recognize the City as a Trail Town in recognition of the Titusville community's commitment to providing a safe, comfortable, and fun place to walk, bike, and more. Our trail network runs from the Volusia County line through Brevard County and into the City of Titusville –the trail is managed by both the City and County based on location. Please report any problems you see on or with the trail, so we can keep the trails safe.  Enjoy your walk, run, or ride!

The Florida Department of Environmental Protection Office of Greenways and Trails provides statewide leadership and coordination to establish, expand and promote non-motorized trails.   The Bicycle, Pedestrian, and Trails Advisory Committee of the Space Coast Transportation Planning Organization reviews plans and policies regarding bicycle, pedestrian, and multi-use trail projects.   The nonprofit Bike Florida promotes safe and responsible bicycling through support of the Share the Road campaign, education, public awareness, and bicycle touring.    
             
             
Bicycling Facts & Figures - Houses located in areas with above-average levels of walkability or bikeability are worth up to$34,000 more than similar houses in areas with average levels. Estimated cost of constructing one parking space in a paved lot: $2,200. More than three times as many new bicycles are sold in the US each year than cars. Bicycling is the second most popular outdoor activity in the United States. 47% of Americans say they would the more Bike Facilities in their communities. Most trips Americans make are short: 50% are less than 3 miles. 40% are less than 2 miles. 28% are less than 1 mile. The average American household spends $8,758 per year on owning and driving their cars. That's more they spend on food.
