Do you ever have days when you wonder, "Another day--what to do, what to do?" Have you thought about the advantages of volunteering? Volunteering is fun, leads to learning new skills, meeting interesting people, making new friends, sharing your talents, and keeping in touch with the community in which you live.
Titusville Fire and Emergency Services' community volunteers assist our department in a wide variety of duties. Some of their tasks include answering non-emergency telephones, greeting customers, copying, faxing, typing, data entry, filing, and performing logistical duties such as filling fire station supply requests, maintaining our warehouse inventory count, and coordinating distribution of supplies to fire stations.
Our community volunteers also help with many other different department activities throughout the year, such as creating and distributing flyers during Fire Prevention and EMS Weeks and assisting with the coordination of our annual recognition programs.
