Traffic Enforcement Unit
 - They'll see you before you see them. Don't drink and drive!

Our citizens have made it clear to us that they want our department to keep our roadways as safe as possible.

We remain committed to taking an aggressive approach in our traffic enforcement efforts. We continue to use a diversified approach in promoting safe driving, increasing seatbelt usage, and arresting impaired drivers. Our traffic officers use both "slick-top" cars with subdued graphics and un-marked vehicles for traffic enforcement.

Although every officer takes an active role in enforcing traffic laws and crash investigations during their shift, TPD recognizes the importance of having a specially trained group of officers assigned full-time to traffic enforcement.
