Sergeant John Richardson (Ret.)
John Richardson began his career with our Department in 1983. John served as a Field Training Officer in Patrol for many years and eventually was promoted to Sergeant in 1995.

Sergeant Richardson oversaw our Computer Systems and two-way radio systems for several years during a period of unprecedented growth in technology at our department. He helped us transition into using mobile data terminals (MDTs) and a new, modern dispatch CAD system.

During his tenure, John was recognized with the Top Achiever Award, Meritorious Award, two Exceptional Service Awards, Good Conduct, City Employee of the Month twice, four Unit Citations, and the Chief's Choice Award for 2006.

John retired from our Department in 2010.
