Ralph Warren originally started with the Titusville Police Department in 1983. In 1986 he accepted a position with the Tallahassee Police Department but eventually returned to our department in 1988. Six months after his rehire, he was assigned to the Criminal Investigations Section and became an outstanding Detective for the next six years until his return to Patrol in 1995.
In 1997 he was promoted to the rank of Sergeant and remained at that rank for the next 12 years, enjoying every minute of that assignment, until his retirement in 2010.
Sergeant Warren is an avid gun handler and was our department’s Range Master for 14 years of his career here. Over the years, he instructed countless classes to officers in safe gun handling and honed each of their marksman skills. As a former police explorer himself in his youth, Ralph knew the dedication of our police explorers and worked closely with our Post for many years instructing them in a variety of training proficiencies.
During his career, Ralph was recognized as the Supervisor of the Year and Supervisor of the Quarter in 2007, the Top Achiever Award in 2006, Life-Saving Award in 2005, Exceptional Service in 2003, and the Chief’s Special Recognition in 2000.
Sergeant Warren is now enjoying his retirement in Titusville and hopes someday to own a gun store and an Air Stream trailer out somewhere in the mid-West.
