COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY
The City Council of the City of Titusville is looking for a citizen to fill a vacancy on the Community Redevelopment Agency. The appointment was originally scheduled to be made at the City Council meeting scheduled for December 13, 2012; however, it was rescheduled for the City Council meeting on January 24, 2013. Generally speaking, the purpose of the Community Redevelopment Agency is to oversee the redevelopment of the downtown area with powers and duties as authorized by Florida Statutes
and the City of Titusville Code of Ordinances
Currently, the City Council is designated as the Community Redevelopment Agency for the city. City Council appoints two additional persons to act as members of the Community Redevelopment Agency for a total membership of seven. These additional members are required to reside or engage in business, which means owning a business, practicing a profession, or performing a service for compensation, or serving as an officer or director of a corporation or other business entity so engaged, within the area of operation of the agency, which shall be conterminous with the area of operation of the city.

Call the City Clerk’s Office at (321) 383-5774 to request an application. The deadline for submitting applications has been extended to Friday, January 11, 2013.
