Titusville Police Explorer Selected to DEA Academy

A Titusville Police Explorer has been accepted to the DEA’s (US Drug Enforcement Agency) Law Enforcement Exploring Leadership Academy. Anthony M. Polidora, 19, of Titusville, was one of only 30 explorers Nationwide selected for this unique leadership opportunity at the US DEA Academy.
The Titusville Police Explorers is a scout type program run by the Titusville Police Department for youth ages 14 to 21 who are interested in learning about careers in law enforcement. Goals of the program include: building leadership skills, improve self-confidence, and exposing young men and women to community service opportunities.  

“We are extremely proud that one of our own has been selected to attend this prestigious training”, said Detective Jessica Edens, who oversees the Titusville Police Department’s Explorer program.
Anthony Polidora has been a member of the police explorers in Titusville since 2005 and has moved up in the ranks to Chief Explorer. Anthony will attend the 2011 National Law Enforcement Exploring DEA Leadership Academy from June 25th to July 2nd in Quantico, Virginia.
