Titusville Police Lieutenant Todd Hutchinson graduated from the prestigious FBI National Academy in Quantico, Virginia on March 19th, 2010. FBI Director Robert Mueller presided over the graduation ceremony and awarded Lt. Hutchinson his diploma at the FBI Academy -which is located just outside of Washington D.C.
Hutchinson maintained a 4.0 GPA as he completed four graduate-level courses in executive leadership and public affairs for law enforcement. He also completed two undergraduate courses in public speaking and fitness for law enforcement. All courses at the FBI Academy are accredited through the University of Virginia.
Internationally known for its academic excellence and advanced training, The National Academy is considered to be the premier training for law enforcement professionals. Less than one percent of all law enforcement officers Nationwide are selected to attend this program. The cost of the training is paid for by the U.S. Department of Justice.
Attendees of the FBI National Academy live in dorms on the academy grounds during the ten-week program. Students undergo significant physical training along with the academic schedule, culminating in a 6.2 mile obstacle course located on the nearby U.S. Marine Base.
