Titusville water customers will soon be receiving their 2006 Annual Water Quality Report from the City of Titusville’s Water Resources Department. This year’s report is printed for the first time in the form of a colorful calendar that covers July, 2007 through June, 2008.
According to Raynetta Curry Grant, Titusville’s Water Resources Director, “All community water systems are required by law to mail their customers an annual water quality report. This year we printed our report as a calendar because we wanted our customers to keep the report as a resource that they can use all year and as we did last year, we included a customer response card in each report.”
The water quality report, also known as a consumer confidence report or CCR contains information on Titusville’s water sources, treatment, and water analysis results. “In addition to the information required by law,” explained Maureen Phillips, Water Resources’ Community Programs Coordinator, “We include information that is of value to our customers such as contact phone numbers and reminders about water conservation programs and emergency preparedness.”
“Each year our report gets better and better. Titusville can be proud that its report is one of the most attractive and informative water quality reports in the state,” said Ms. Grant. “Titusville’s water customers can feel safe in the knowledge that the water that we deliver to their homes and businesses surpasses all federal and state requirements for drinking water.”
On this year’s report cover is a sunrise scene taken by local photographer Joel Reynolds at the wetlands located at Titusville’s Blue Heron Water Reclamation Plant. “The picture truly captures the quiet beauty of nature and our wetlands area,” explained Ms. Grant.
