4th of July Trash Pickup: Friday’s (July 3rd) pickup for garbage, recycling and yard trash will be on Thursday (July 2nd), and Thursday’s (July 2nd) pickup will be on Wednesday (July 1).  There will be no other changes for the week.

Local Man Drowns in the Indian River

Titusville Police are investigating the drowning death of a local adult male on Saturday, May 2nd 2020.
The preliminary investigation has revealed the victim, Garrett Starr, 20, of Titusville, was attempting to swim to shore from a small disabled boat in the Indian River near Marina Park located 501 Marina Road. Witnesses reported seeing the victim call for help and go under water around 1:30 PM.
Within minutes, Officers arrived on scene and began searching for the victim.
The victim’s body was recovered from the water at approximately 4:00 PM by the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office Dive team.  
This incident remains under investigation by the Titusville Police Department and further details will be released upon its conclusion by investigators.
