ROAD CLOSURE NOTICE: S. Park Avenue at Smith Lane (south side of Smith) will be closed for TWO WEEKS starting October 15 at approximately 6 a.m.  The road will be closed 24-hours a day throughout the time period.  A detour will run through Smith Ln. out to Park Avenue and the side streets such as Rosella and Tudor.

Detectives Investigating Shooting Homicide

Two people were shot during a dispute between several people at 1155 Milton Street late Friday night. An adult male was pronounced deceased at a local hospital. A second adult male was transported via helicopter to a Trauma Hospital.

Just before 11:00 p.m. on January 5th, officers responding to a report of a shooting at 1155 Milton St found a gunshot victim in the driveway. Officers initiated CPR until EMS personnel arrived, but the victim, LORENZO JAMAL BELL, 30, of Titusville, was pronounced deceased later at the hospital. 

A second gunshot victim, a 28 year-old Cocoa man, was transported to a trauma center via helicopter for life-threatening injuries.

The preliminary investigation reveals what appears to have been a dispute between several people that are known to each other. Investigators are working on leads and are encouraging anyone with information to contact police.
