Bike Helmet Safety

Did your child receive a bicycle, scooter, skateboard or roller-skates for Christmas and now they need a helmet? Titusville Fire Department has a limited number of free bicycle helmets to help those in need. If you are interested in a free helmet and fitting please contact Life Safety Specialist Kerri Lubeski at 321-567-3804 to schedule your fitting appointment. No walk ins allowed. Parent’s/Caregiver and child receiving helmet must be present. Face masks/coverings must be worn. *More children ages 5-14 go to emergency rooms for bicycle-related injuries than with any other sport; many are head injuries. Helmets are the single most effective piece of safety equipment for riders of all ages, if you crash. Everyone should choose to wear a helmet; it just makes sense! Protect your child’s head this year and make an appointment for a free bicycle helmet with fitting with our Life Safety Specialist Monday – Friday 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
