City CouncilFlorida Green Local Government Designation – Executive Director C. J. Davila of the Florida Green Building Coalition introduced Board Members Bill Kachman and Ralph Locke. He then provided background information on the Florida Green Building Coalition and officially recognized the City of Titusville for earning a silver-level certification under the Florida Green Local Government designation program. The Council and Staff accepted a framed plaque of the Certification from the Florida Green Building Coalition.

The City Council of the City of Titusville, Florida met in regular session in the Council Chamber of City Hall, 555 South Washington Avenue, on Tuesday, February 25, 2019.
Mayor Walt Johnson called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m. Present were Mayor Johnson, Vice-Mayor Dan Diesel, and Members Robert Jordan, Jo Lynn Nelson, and Sarah Stoeckel. Also in attendance were City Manager Scott Larese, City Attorney Richard Broome, and City Clerk Wanda Wells. Sr. Administrative Assistant Debbie Denman completed the minutes.
Mayor Johnson requested a moment of silence and led those present in the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag.
City Manager Larese introduced Lisa Nicholas, the City of Titusville’s new Economic Development Director.
Ms. Nicholas thanked the City for trusting in her and stated that she felt she was qualified for the job and would do the best job she could for the City.
City Clerk Wells read the procedure for public comment.
SPECIAL RECOGNITIONS & PRESENTATIONS:
Employee of the Month – Water Production Superintendent Gene DeMayo highlighted the nomination that recognized Daniel Leggett from the Water Production of the Water Resources Department, as the City of Titusville's Employee of the Month for February 2020. Mayor Johnson presented Mr. Leggett with a plaque and gift.
Letters of Appreciation – City Manager Larese read the names of the employees that recently received letters of appreciation as followed:

Stan Johnston stated that he was supposed to receive a report from the City after the last Council meeting, but he still had not received it and that he felt that it did not exist. He then commented on nonsense, dishonesty, corruption, and fraud.
With no further business to discuss, the meeting adjourned at 5:47 p.m.
