Stormwater Utility

Mission Statement

The Public Works Department Stormwater Utility Management Division maintains and repairs all publicly owned open drainage, retention ponds and closed drainage networks within the City of Titusville jurisdiction to improve the quality of life for its citizens.

This includes:

  • Stormwater repair and maintenance
  • 30 miles of canal and ditch maintenance
  • 2,200 inlets and junctions boxes
  • 55 miles of storm drains
  • 35 lakes and ponds

Additional Responsibilities

The Public Works Department Stormwater Utility Management Division is also responsible for the planning and construction of projects that reduce flooding throughout the City and improve the quality of stormwater discharges to the Indian River Lagoon and the St. John’s River, in accordance with new State and Federal regulations that require significant reductions of nitrogen and phosphorus in stormwater runoff.
