Department Organization & Purpose
Separated into two distinct divisions of Operations and Administration, the purpose of the department is to:
Prevent the loss of lives and property damage by fire, hazardous substance releases, and natural and manmade emergencies.
Provide equipped and trained first response advanced life support for our citizens; provide annual inspections of all commercial occupancies to identify and correct fire and hazard safety violations in the protection of both the property owner and members of our community.
Provide, within the limitations of department resources, public education/information classes, lectures, and demonstrations regarding potential health and property hazards.
