The Building Department is responsible for ensuring public safety through plan reviews, permitting, and inspections which enforce and certify compliance with City code and regulations.
Beginning June 1st the Titusville Building Department will no longer accept any paper plans larger than 11 by 17. The Building Department encourages the use of our online portal and uploading your plans electronically. If you need assistant with the online portal please contact 321-567-3978.
New Construction Single-Family
As of February 28th, 2019, we have adopted a new policy concerning finished floor elevations. If you are planning to build a new single-family house or already are in the process make sure to familiarize yourself with this New Single Family Residential FFE Policy (DOC).
The State of Florida Legislature and the Florida Building Commission have announced the adoption of the Florida Building Code, the Edition (2017) and the National Electric Code National Fire Protection Association (NFPA)-70 (2014) as the statewide minimum construction standards.
