The City of Titusville, Florida / Police / NewsArmed Burglary Suspect’s Crime Spree Ends Tuesday, September 11, 2018
Titusville Police responded to a report of an occupied residential armed burglary, which then quickly led to the arrest of a local man suspected in the connection of multiple crimes throughout the city.
The preliminary investigation has revealed that at approximately 9:00 AM on Tuesday September 11th 2018, a resident at the Windover Oaks Apartments reported to police that while he was in the shower, a man broke a window, entered into his home, and stole two handguns and an assault rifle.
Bubba Edward Holmes, 29, of Titusville was arrested on Tuesday, September 11th 2018, at approximately 9:15 AM after officers found him hiding in a residential area north of Windover Oaks Apartments. The two stolen handguns and assault rifle were located near Holmes and recovered by police.
The victim was not injured.
After questioning by detectives, Holmes was linked to another local armed burglary and a separate fraud crime.
Bubba Edward Holmes was charged with two counts of Armed Burglary, four counts of Grand Theft of a Firearm, Grand Theft and Criminal Use of Personal Identification.
Holmes was booked into the Brevard County Jail without bond.
