Police K9 Quickly Locates Distraught Woman

Titusville Police K9 Dog, "Jack"
Titusville Police K9 "JACK"
A Titusville Police K9 Unit tracked down a local woman after family members reported that she had gone missing and was likely going to harm herself.

At approximately 3:00 PM on Wednesday November 22nd 2017, officers responded to a report that a local woman had left on foot in the Capron Road area and possibly had a weapon. Her family members had great concern for her well-being based on statements she had made.

Within minutes, police established a perimeter around the area where the woman was last seen. After the police dog tracked a scent for approximately a half-mile, K9 Officer John Cantalupo and K9 dog “Jack” found the woman hidden from view in thick grass and brush in a remote area at approximately 3:15 PM.

The woman sustained no known injuries and was transported to a local hospital.
