The Harry T. Moore Social Service Center is located at 725 S. DeLeon Avenue and is open Monday-Friday 8:00AM to 5:00PM. The Center has a wide range of helpful informational brochures and flyers for those individuals and families seeking assistance with various needs. The Center provides free services for such things as faxing, copying, notarizations, and referrals related to obtaining assistance from state, federal, or local service providers; however, services are only available during the following times:
Monday - Wednesday from 9:00 am to 12 noon, and 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm; and
Thursday's from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
The Center is also home to several non-profit agencies providing various public/human services to the community. The following agencies are currently located at the Center:
- Family Counseling Center;
- Fair Housing Continuum; and
- Habitat for Humanity
COMMUNITY DINNER - Every Thursday is Community Dinner at the Harry T. Moore Social Service Center. The Center offers a free dinner on Thursday's , sponsorship permitting, from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.; everyone is welcome. No carry out's please.
BENEFITS CONNECTION PROGRAM - Every Monday from 9 AM to 12 PM the Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida is at the Center to assist individuals and families with applying for Food Stamps, TANF, Medicaid, and KidCare. Other times and places are available - please contact Second Harvest at 407-423-7333 for further information.
BREAD PROGRAM - Feel free to stop by the Center to participate in the free bread program. This program provides bread products to the community on a weekly basis, sponsorship permitting. Please limit your selection to two bread products per household per day.
