The Fire Chief oversees the administration and operation of the three sections of the division and also serves as the department's financial officer, maintaining budgetary oversight and long-range financial forecasting of the department's total budget.
The Budgeting Section responsibilities include data-entry, reconciliation, reports and overall budgetary processes dealing with department financial expenditures These responsibilities are carried out by the Division's secretarial support position. Equipment, supplies, and facility repairs are the responsibilities of the logistics coordinator.

Fire Inspection Section responsibilities include fire prevention and code enforcement through plans review and inspection for life safety issues of new construction, annual life safety fire inspections of new and existing businesses and performing inspections and tests of new fire protection systems. These functions are carried out under the direction of two certified fire inspectors and supported by a clerk, who also provides clerical support to the Public Education Division. |

Life Safety Specialist Reggie Belle

The Public Education Section is led by a Life Safety Specialist, who is responsible for maintaining the department's injury prevention programs and providing public safety education to all facets of the community. The Fire Chief also provides direct supervisory oversight of the Public Education Section.
