Thanksgiving Week: Thursday’s pickup for garbage, recycling and yard trash will be on Wednesday. There will be no other changes for the week.

CAUTION: The City of Titusville has received several complaints from citizens in reference to receiving fraudulent telephone calls from subjects claiming to be with the utility department. If you receive a telephone call of this nature and are unsure about the origin of the call, please immediately hang up and contact your local law enforcement agency for further assistance.

DEPARTMENT ORGANIZATION and PURPOSE

Separated into two distinct divisions of Operations and Administration, the purpose of the department is to:

  • Prevent loss of lives and property damage by fire, hazardous substance releases, and natural and manmade emergencies; and

  • Provide equipped and trained first response advanced life support for our citizens; provide annual inspections of all commercial occupancies to identify and correct fire and hazard safety violations in protection of both the property owner and members of our community; and

  • Provide, within the limitations of department resources, public education/information classes, lectures, and demonstrations regarding potential health and property hazards
