Robin Hayes

Robin Hayes began her career with the City of Titusville on September 30, 2002.  As Budget Officer, she helps develop, implement, and administer the City's budget, and she maintains budgetary control throughout the fiscal year.  In addition to scheduling and preparing the annual budget and CIP Program, she assists the Finance Director in the development of annual and long-range revenue and expenditure projects.

Robin's job is complex and challenging.  She works with other employees and Finance Department sections to ensure all budget changes, transfers, purchases, and procurements are in line with the approved budget.  She is also charged with assisting all other City departments and divisions with respect to their budgetary questions, and she provides direction to ensure the approved City budget remains inviolate.  Her interactions with her co-workers are always tempered with tact, courtesy, patience, and thoughtfulness, and she often provides guidance on how to address budget issues effectively and within approved guidelines.

Robin has faced a number of personal and tragic crises during her tenure with the City, which would have rendered many people ineffectual in their jobs.  But throughout, Robin's tremendous sense of responsibility and work ethic enabled her to continue to address all requirements of her position effectively and efficiently.  Robin Hayes is a valued, respected, and integral member of our Finance Department team, and she is truly a City of Titusville Most Valuable Person.

Tiffany Ford

Tiffany Ford is a Driver/Operator/Paramedic with the Titusville Fire and Emergency Services Department.  She began her career with the City in May 2000 after working her way through the Fire Academy to fulfill her long-time desire to work in the emergency services field.  Tiffany quickly earned the State of Florida Outstanding Service Award for the wildfires in 2000.  She obtained her Florida Paramedic Certification in January 2003 and her Pump Operator Certification in November 2003, and she was promoted to the position of Driver-Operator in January of 2006.

Tiffany has the ability and drive to move upward and to rise to a much-deserved leadership position within the organization.  Proof of her skills, abilities, and worth as an employee are demonstrated through her many commendations and awards.  Tiffany has been selected for Employee of the Month five times, and she received one of the department's highest honors when she was named Firefighter of the Year in 2005.

Some of the other arenas that Tiffany voluntarily participated in for our department include:  SOP/SOG Committee, Uniform Committee, and the Firefighter Fitness/Wellness Committee.  As our department's MDA coordinator for several years, she organized events that raised thousands of dollars for Muscular Dystrophy, including our recent Fill the Boot campaign, which raised over $7,000.  Tiffany is also a member of our department's Honor Guard.

When you ask someone to describe Tiffany, you get responses like determined, physically fit, cheerful attitude, attention to detail, and a strong desire to help people.  Tiffany is well-liked by her peers.  Our community members who interact with her are complimentary of her compassion and the personal attention she gives them, in addition to her outstanding professional skills.  Tiffany Ford is most deserving of the designation of Most Valuable Person.

Susan Northcutt

Susan Northcutt with City Manager-Mark Ryan

Frank Canada

Frank has been recognized for his “can do” attitude and the manner to which he attends to

his duties. During his initial light duty status and under contract when his disability

retirement as a firefighter became permanent, Frank assumed the duties of

the logistics coordinator. Logistical processes were immediately improved and

recognized by the departments combat personnel. Frank completely reorganized

the warehouse and securing supplies and their distribution ran

much smoother. Whenever the department experiences equipment problems,

Frank ensures the stations and supplies are operating smoothly and

efficiently. Regardless of challenges with uniform and protective equipment vendors

he manages to ensure that combat personnel are properly attired and

equipped. He always maintains an attitude that is upbeat and positive.

Frank’s consistency and high caliber of performance has been recognized by his selection as

The Fire Department’s Employee of the Month at least three times in the past

two years. The verbiage in these nominations included:…highly regarded…your

actions will set a high standard for others to follow in the future… have provided

constructive ideas and a willingness to go above and beyond in assignments… shown

your dedication to the persons you have come into contact with on a

daily basis and to the department which you have served for many years… commended for

your outstanding service to our department… you set an example for others

to follow as you give 150% in everything you do for this department.

It is a pleasure to work with an individual of Frank’s character and abilities. He is an

asset to the City of Titusville and exemplifies a “Most Valuable Person”.

Susan Northcutt

Susan has been employed by the City of Titusville two different times. The first time started

in 1965 as a cashier for the Water Department. Soon after, Susan was promoted

to the Secretary position for Public Works. She is one of the few employees still

here that moved into the NEW City Hall in1969. Susan continued in that

position until she left in 1974.

Susan came back to the City in 1982 as a Data Entry Clerk in the Building Department. She

held this position until 1989 when she became a Permits Records Clerk for the Building Department. In1991 Susan was transferred to the Streets Division as a Clerical Assistant. This position was later reclassified to Secretary. Susan held that position until June of 2000 when she was promoted to the Solid Waste Coordinator position. Susan’s position was reclassified to Administrative Assistant still with the Solid Waste division. She continues to hold that position

today.

To this point in time Susan has 34 years of service with the City. She has always delivered a

high quality of work in each position she has held. In addition to her regular

duties, Susan has been instrumental in the organization and data collection of

the Automated Pilot Program that is currently underway in the Solid Waste division.

Susan is extremely efficient and thorough in all of her duties. Her dedication to her job

Is without reproach. The City of Titusville has been very fortunate to have had

An employee of Susan’s caliber for these many years.

Kathy Mosley with Interim City Manager-Mark Ryan

Sarah Griffith with Interim City Manager-Mark Ryan

Sarah Griffith with Interim City Manager-Mark Ryan

Kathy Mosley

Kathy Mosley is truly a Most Valuable Person. With over 33 years with the City, Kathy knows as much about fire fighting as most fire fighters. She is the “Go to” person in the fire department. If you ever need an answer to something regarding the fire department (except firefighter time sheets – inside joke), Kathy is the one to call, if she does not know the answer, she will find it or point you in the right direction.

Recently, Kathy stepped up to help in the vacancies in the fire department. The Fire Department’s support services manager retired just as the budget process was gearing up and Kathy gladly assisted the Fire Chief in this process with many sections that were not her responsibility in previous budgets; leaving Kathy to find out the basis for many of the figures.

Many times Kathy has helped out in other areas without being asked just to make sure the department keeps running smoothly. At all times, Kathy is professional and takes great pride in her work. She is truly a shining star!

Sarah Griffith

The Most Valuable Person (MVP) Committee is pleased to announce Sarah Griffith as one of its newest members. Sarah started her career with the City of Titusville in the Human Resources department as a part-time worker in 2002. In 2005 she became the department’s HR Assistant.

Sarah has taken on many additional duties willingly and cheerfully. She has coordinated the City’s Wellness Program. Building on the efforts of MVP member Joel McPherson, she led the employees’ United Way effort to a new record of over $17,000 in 2006. She provides support to the City Manager’s office for Executive Leadership Team and City Manager’s Quarterly Training meetings, and also for the quarterly Support Services Department meetings. She is active on the Nomination Committee for the annual Employee Awards Ceremony.

In her years with the City, Sarah has proven to be a reliable and supportive staff member. She approaches her responsibilities with a helpful, cooperative and cheerful demeanor. She truly exemplifies the willingness to carry out the City’s motto, “A City of Service.” We are proud to have Sarah as a part of the City of Titusville’s team, and to recognize her as a “Most Valuable Person.”
