JANUARY 2010
Firefighter/EMT Brian Hahn
Driver-Operator/Paramedic Tiffany Callahan
FF Hahn and DO Callahan were chosen as Employees of the Month based on a letter of recognition sent by a Titusville Police Officer.
On December 10th, he was the responding police officer at two separate suicide attempts as was this two-person medical crew. Officer Smith noted that he was extremely impressed with their medical skills, and the fluidity of their working relationship. During both of these difficult calls, these employees also displayed a great deal of compassion toward their patients and the patients' family members.

FEBRUARY 2010
Secretary Diane Parker
Diane was selected because of all she does—over and above her normal duties—emptying our temporary archival facility (the vault), designing the new layout, organizing the contents to be brought back in after the painting and carpet replacement, and directing the replacement of the contents. She is always ready, willing and able to get right in there and make “it” happen, especially when it involves moving furniture and organizing work spaces!

MARCH 2010
Firefighter John Hustoles
John was awarded this recognition for his quick action on February 15 when a grass fire started in his own neighborhood. His rapid response to this potentially dangerous situation had the fire out prior to the arrival of Engine 12.
We know that his neighbors truly appreciate what he did and his department commends him for his actions.

APRIL 2010
Life Safety Specialist Reggie Belle
Reggie has passionately strived to make our public education section the best around. To that end, one of initiatives he has worked on for several years is finding grant sources to enhance the department’s public education capabilities. His successes include a public education trailer that is used to store all of our public education materials, hardware from child safety seats, to presentation boards and variable message boards to bicycle helmets In addition to his continuing work with FDOT, Reggie spends much of his time educating the public on a variety of safety issues that are important to the community from fire safety to child safety seats. His audiences cover all age ranges from preschoolers to high school young adults and senior citizens. In 2009, Mr. Belle’s outreach to the community resulted in over 15,000 people in the Titusville community receiving valuable life saving information.

MAY 2010
Firefighter/Paramedic Bobby Crocker
Firefighter Crocker was selected as Employee of the Month for his willingness to get involved in the extra-curricular activities of our department and of the city. A most recent example of how he "goes the extra mile" was volunteering his off-time to help grill food for the neighborhood revitalization event at Inspiration Point. His continued good cheer and generosity is noted and appreciated.

June 2010
Firefighter/Paramedic Greg Sutton,
Driver-Operator/Paramedic Jeremy House
They were nominated by their coworkers for the extraordinary effort they put forth teaching our community members Citizen C.P.R. The chain of survival protocol begins with basic life support measures provided by citizens on the scene of an emergency. Immediate implementing citizen C.P.R. while awaiting the arrival of emergency responders for other emergency medical interventions is critical in the survival rate of patients suffering from fatal heart attacks.
In 2009, they trained 177 community members in CPR and have taught an additional 67 citizens to date in 2010. In addition they taught multiple CPR classes June 2nd, highlighting National CPR Day. Our community is better served from an emergency medical standpoint because of their willingness to train as instructors and commit to expanding the emergency response skills of our citizens.
