Stormwater Projects

One of the most important functions performed by the Stormwater Utility is the development of a master plan for each of the City’s 8 major watershed areas. During this process, watersheds are modeled to clearly define their runoff boundaries. Problem areas within each watershed are defined and improvements are developed. Through this engineering analysis, capital projects are recommended that will provide flood control, improve water quality, and increase aquifer recharge.
