CAUTION: The City of Titusville has received several complaints from citizens in reference to receiving fraudulent telephone calls from subjects claiming to be with the utility department. If you receive a telephone call of this nature and are unsure about the origin of the call, please immediately hang up and contact your local law enforcement agency for further assistance.

Commander Skip Toney

Walter “Skip” Toney was hired on in March of 1981. A longtime Titusville resident, Skip is known most for his sense of humor and “laid back” personality. Skip often helped out the Titusville Police Athletic League and coached baseball with PAL for three seasons.
 
Skip was promoted to Sergeant in 1989, Lieutenant in 1995, and Commander in 1999.
 
During his career, Skip was recognized as Supervisor of the Quarter, Officer of the Month 5 times, and was awarded the Life Saving Award, Meritorious Award, and five Unit Citations.
 
Commander Skip Toney retired in 2006 and pursued his dream of opening a local surf shop.
