Police Investigating a Traffic Crash Fatality

At approximately 9:45 PM on Friday, September 23rd 2016, Titusville Police responded to a report of a traffic crash with injuries involving a motorcycle and a Toyota pick-up truck at the intersection of Washington Ave (U.S. #1) and Coquina Avenue.
 
The preliminary investigation revealed that the driver of a Toyota Tundra was traveling northbound on Washington Avenue. The truck turned west toward Coquina Avenue and a motorcyclist, traveling southbound on Washington Avenue, struck the truck at the intersection of Coquina Avenue and Washington Avenue.
 
The motorcyclist, Justin Wayne Smith, 28, of Titusville, was pronounced dead at the scene and there were no other injuries.
 
An investigation of the traffic homicide is currently being conducted by the Titusville Police Department.
