Lagoon Friendly Lawns
Looking to do your part to prevent algal blooms and fish kills in the Indian River Lagoon? With our new Lagoon Friendly Lawns program, solutions start right in your own backyard!
Lagoon Friendly Lawns is an education and certification program for homeowners and lawn care contractors that teaches nutrient pollution reduction practices like fertilizer use restrictions, turf minimization, stormwater runoff reduction, and restoration of ecosystem benefits with native plants.
Homeowners who meet the criteria of our online application receive beautiful lawn signs handmade from reclaimed wood, and lawn care contractors who go through our certification process receive exclusive free marketing for their businesses!
Come Check It Out For Yourself!
