CAUTION: The City of Titusville has received several complaints from citizens in reference to receiving fraudulent telephone calls from subjects claiming to be with the utility department. If you receive a telephone call of this nature and are unsure about the origin of the call, please immediately hang up and contact your local law enforcement agency for further assistance.

Detectives Conducting Death Investigation

Titusville Police Detectives are conducting a death investigation in reference to the discovery of a deceased adult male who was found floating in the Indian River by a passing boater.
 
Titusville Police responded to a 911 call that a body had been found in the Indian River in the area near the 4200 block of Riveredge Drive at approximately 3:30 PM on Thursday September 15th 2016.
 
The body was recovered and there are no obvious signs of foul play at this time.
 
This is an active ongoing investigation.
