Car Crashes into Business During Attempted Burglary

An unmanned sport utility vehicle (SUV) smashed into a reinforced doorway and destroyed parts of a concrete wall as part of an attempt to burglarize Space Coast Pawn early Wednesday morning.

Titusville Police Officers responded to an alarm at Space Coast Pawn, located at 358 Cheney Highway, at approximately 12:30 AM on Wednesday September 14th 2016.

The preliminary investigation reveals that concrete brick pavers where positioned to hold down the accelerator of the SUV and subsequently crash into the east side of the building destroying the reinforced door and the concrete wall around the doorway.

Surveillance video footage shows three masked suspects attempted to navigate past the trapped SUV and concrete debris in an attempt to enter the business.

The suspects were unable to make entry and left the scene in a sliver 4 door Chevy without any stolen merchandise.

If anyone has any information about this crime, we urge them to contact the Titusville Police Department (321) 264-7800 and/or Crimeline at 1-800-423-TIPS.
