Young Heroes Receive Lifesaving Awards

Breaana and Stevie

The Titusville Police Department recognized Breanna Moseley, 18, of Titusville and Stevie McCray, 9, of Merritt Island, for their heroic efforts in saving the life of a toddler who nearly drowned on June 3rd 2016.

Breanna and Stevie were recognized during the Tuesday July 26th 2016 Special Recognition portion of the Titusville City Council Meeting.

City Council Members, City Officials and their own families watched as they received their life saving awards and gifts from Titusville Police Departments’ Deputy Chief Tom Barry.

Stevie’s quick action of retrieving the child from underwater and carrying her out of the pool, followed by Breanna’s lifesaving CPR, saved the life of the unresponsive toddler. We are truly proud of our two local heroes
