The City of Titusville, Florida / Police / NewsBrevard Triad and the Titusville Police Officers Play Santa to Local Seniors
Brevard County Triad and the Titusville Police Department’s S.A.L.T., Seniors and Law Enforcement Together, volunteers collected and delivered holiday gifts for approximately 350 local senior residents on Friday December 11th
Christmas came a little early for many Titusville seniors, with the delivery of gifts donated by the community to seniors in need or alone for the holidays. The “Senior Santa” program, sponsored by Brevard County Triad, has been providing Christmas gifts for the past 16 years.
Senior wishing trees, decorated with individual paper Santa wish lists, were displayed at Titusville Police Department and Parrish Senior Solutions where friends, families and colleagues of either of these locations adopted a senior.
The local Titusville community and businesses also adopted seniors, who perhaps did not have the family or means to purchase gifts for themselves
Gifts were collected and then delivered to residents at several North Brevard Senior living facilities.
“It gives us great joy to give a senior a gift. Christmas is a wonderful holiday for all children whether they’re one or 92, so we wanted to make sure no one was forgotten” said Deputy Chief Tom Barry
