TPD's Vintage Car Wins Award
Friday, September 04, 2015

The Titusville Police Department’s vintage police car has been recognized by the National magazine, LAW and ORDER.

TPD’s 1949 Ford sedan was awarded “Best Vintage/Community Relations” vehicle in their 2015 Police Vehicle Design Contest. In an article featured in the August issue of LAW and ORDER, one contest Judge wrote, “This is a true, vintage car”.

The department’s classic car is designed to help recognize the police department’s long history of service to the community. “It’s one of our most popular outreach tools at community events”, said Chief John Lau, “Our citizens are proud of it”.

Titusville Police were also recognized in the magazine’s 2010 contest for the “Best Off-Road” vehicle design.
