Detectives Searching for Shooting Suspects

Just after 2PM on Saturday August 1st, 2015, officers responded to a report of a shooting on Day St. Arriving officers discovered a vehicle crashed into a tree with two people shot inside. A third person inside had minor injuries, but was not shot.
 
The preliminary investigation reveals that the black Toyota Highlander, stolen out of Volusia County, was involved in an unknown dispute with passengers in another vehicle, described as a dark colored sedan. Witnesses describe the two vehicles as “shooting” at each other as they drove down Day St. The black Toyota crashed into a tree, the dark colored sedan fled the scene.
 
An adult male and male juvenile were transported to area hospitals with gunshot wounds. The third person in the stolen vehicle, a juvenile, was taken into custody for questioning.
 
Anyone with information on the dark colored sedan and the suspects in the shooting can remain anonymous and be eligible for a reward by calling CRIMELINE at 800-423-TIPS.
